Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) ist eine Nachdiplomausbildung der Hochschulen und entspricht mindestens 10 ECTS-Punkten. Dieses CAS verlangt 12 ECTS-Punkte.

The programme focuses on the hygrothermal specificities of mud and bio-??sourced or re-?used materials in buildings to ensure high comfort levels and positive effects on energy use, humidity regulation and carbon emissions.

Programme description:

This programme takes four weeks, spread over one semester. Its subject is high-??quality building envelopes made of straw bales or light mixtures of mineral binders such as lime or clay, and bio-??sourced materials such as hemp, wood, straw or plant harvest waste. Participants acquire results-??oriented skills in the areas of thermal efficiency and humidity regulation. Programme graduates are in a position to assist in the hygrothermal dimensioning of long-??lasting buildings or infrastructure.

Modules:

MODULE 1: General knowledge on hygrothermal building physics
MODULE 2: Constructive details & Implementation of regenerative envelops
MODULE 3: Advanced knowledge on hygrothermal assessment
MODULE 4: Project work on hygrothermal validation

Piano di formazione

1 ECTS-Kreditpunkt entspricht einem Aufwand von 25-30 Arbeitsstunden.

Ammissione

Condizioni d'ammissione

  • A Master's degree recognised by ETH, or the equivalent. Because some calculations require complex modelling, a basis in heat and vapour transfer is expected
  • English: C1

  • professionals who want to deepen and question their existing practice in order to develop more regenerative approaches.
  • HVAC engineers and building contractors, engineers, architects, project managers, municipal technical services members, NGOs and company representatives.
