The Master Programme in International History and Politics examine the complex challenges of the 21st century. We do so by constantly questioning conventional wisdom and by taking into account a multiplicity of national, transnational and global actors and perspectives. Our wide-ranging and constantly evolving curriculum is exceptionally strong in the areas of politics, development, conflict and security, environment, humanitarianism, commerce and finance, health and culture.

The main teaching and research themes of the Master Programme in International History and Politics are:

• The history and politics of international governance and systems;
• The history and politics of national and transnational actors; and
• The history and politics of culture, societies and markets in regional and/or global perspective.

These themes are complementary. The Department’s mission is to encourage dynamic and cross-cutting historical approaches to understanding, contextualising and situating international politics and policies. Specifically, the Department cultivates methodological richness in international, transnational, global, social, economic and cultural history and politics.

Organisation des études

Le plan d'études du Master comprend des enseignements obligatoires, des enseignements dans la discipline de spécialisation du Master et dans une ou plusieurs discipline(s) complémentaire(s) de l'Institut. Les enseignements totalisent 90 crédits ECTS à valider en principe au cours des trois premiers semestres. Le quatrième semestre est essentiellement consacré au travail de master qui équivaut à 30 crédits.

Le master représente le second diplôme universitaire après le bachelor et équivaut généralement à l'acquisition de 90-120 crédits ECTS. Le Master disciplinaire en histoire et politique internationales équivaut à 120 crédits ECTS.

Piano di formazione

1 crédit ECTS correspond à environ 25-30 heures de travail.
