Le Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) est une formation postgrade donnée par les hautes écoles et elle équivaut à au moins 10 crédits ECTS.

Programme

Module 1: Nature-Positive Economic Transformation

  • Command the fundamentals: concepts, theories, tools and metrics in harnessing nature for sustainable futures
  • Address the challenges: global and local governance, market incentives and regulation, environmental and climate diplomacy, preventive and remedial policymaking, risks and opportunities associated with the commodification of nature
  • Lead in sustainability: contextualised to the specific realities encountered in industrialised and developing countries, democracies and autocracies

Module 2: Nature-Positive Trade and Finance

  • Leverage trade and finance to sustain the transformation toward a nature-positive economy
  • Address environmental and social externalities of current trade and finance policies and practices
  • Integrate responsible finance and innovative financial models, such as disaster-risks insurance and securities, blended finance and advanced market commitments

Module 3: Sustainable Production and Consumption

  • Deep dive into specific areas including food systems, water, energy transition, natural resources including critical metals and minerals, habitat and transportation
  • Develop action plans to limit the environmental impact of producing and consuming goods and services
  • Fast-track the transition to a nature-positive economy

Module 4: Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Futures

  • Explore the potential and applicability of technology and innovation to tackle the triple crisis of climate change, pollution and biodiversity loss
  • Craft an action plan leveraging technology and innovation toward sustainable prosperity

1 Crédit ECTS correspond à environ 25-30 heures de travail.

Entry requirements

  • Selection is primarily based on the candidate's professional experience and motivation
  • A bachelor's degree is required, or a degree/diploma deemed to be equivalent (no particular discipline required)
  • A minimum of five years of full-time work for the Executive Certificate and eight years for the Executive Diploma is highly recommended. Participants typically range between 30 and 50 years of age
  • Proficiency in English is required
