What the program looks like

The MAS in Ecumenical Studies targets post-graduate theologians holding a university Master’s degree, preferably in Christian Theology. It develops advanced academic and research competencies in ecumenical studies. The programme covers the history of the ecumenical movement, intercultural biblical studies, practical ecumenical theology, research methodology, interdisciplinary perspectives, research activities, and a research workshop. Participants also specialise in biblical hermeneutics, missiology, social ethics, or ecumenical theology, culminating in a thesis.

  • For students having completed a university Master's degree, preferably in Christian theology or in a closely related discipline
